I think I'm late for the TV episode... but I'd say these are definitely some "don'ts":
ReplyDeleteDon't move the cache!
Don't underestimate your body's needs. I've been guilty of this one, and ended up pretty dehydrated after a long, hot hike—with my Gatorade left behind in the car.
Don't get stuck in rough terrain. I've been guilty of this one, too, and thought I was going to have to call for a rescue. Except my cell phone battery died. Fortunately I was (barely) able to bushwhack my way out. But I found the cache!
Don't lose the cache. Again... guilty. Almost. It was a tiny blinky-sized nano that I lost in the grass while signing the log... how embarassing. I thought I was going to have to discreetly find a replacement online, but finally tracked down both halves.
Don't expect your kids to be as excited as you are, unless the swag is really cool.
